Easy money
Go the east road outside of Hobbitan past the woodsmith who'll trade his dagger for pipeweed. There should be a house on a ledge above the stumps that summon the elves Enter the house and go to the bookcase and press action. A gold coin should appear. Once you leave you can re-enter and recollect the gold coin. Repeat as needed.
